Caruso Events
Caruso Events privacy policy
Updated September 22, 2026
Caruso Ventures operates Caruso Events for invited event participants. This policy covers the mobile app and the services that provide its event information. For questions or privacy requests, contact events@carusoventures.com.
Information we use
- Account information: your sign-in email address, authentication identifier, and session information. If you use a sign-in provider, that provider authenticates you under its own privacy policy. We do not receive your Google or Microsoft password.
- Event and profile information: your invitations, assigned event dates, agenda and logistics, and organizer-maintained profile details such as your name, organization, title, biography, photograph, and professional links.
- Your choices and responses: privacy acknowledgments, optional directory/contact-sharing choices, event form responses, and feedback you choose to submit.
- Operational information: app version, platform, session activity, access decisions, and diagnostic information needed to secure and operate the service. Hosting and authentication providers may process connection information such as IP addresses.
How information is used and shared
We use this information to verify invitations, show the correct event information, remember your choices, collect event responses, support participants, and maintain security and reliability. Authorized Caruso Ventures staff can use participation information and responses to organize events and address support requests.
Event directories follow the explanation shown when you enter that event. Some events list organizer-provided attendee profiles and separately ask whether to share contact details. Others require you to opt in to directory listing. Optional sharing starts off until you choose to enable it. You can change your choice in Settings; other participants see the change when their directory refreshes. Contacts they have already saved cannot be recalled.
We use service providers, including Supabase for authentication and app data and Expo and Apple for app delivery and updates. These providers process information needed to deliver their services. We do not sell app personal information or use the app to track you across other companies’ apps and websites for advertising.
Storage, retention, and deletion
The app stores a sign-in session and caches event information and pending responses on your device so it can recover from interrupted connectivity. Signing out clears the app’s local event cache. Information remains on our service while needed for your app account and event participation, unless you request deletion or applicable retention obligations require otherwise.
You can initiate deletion through Settings → Delete account. Deletion removes your app login, app profile, event access, sharing records, and saved app responses. We retain only an opaque source-profile identifier and deletion timestamp to prevent a routine roster update from recreating the deleted app profile. Service backups and operational logs may remain for their retention periods and are not used to restore a deleted app account during normal operation.
Deleting the app account does not cancel an event registration or erase Caruso Ventures’ separately maintained contact and event-administration records. To request changes or deletion of those records, contact events@carusoventures.com. Uninstalling the app alone does not delete your server account.
Your choices and questions
You can decline optional contact sharing, change it later, sign out, or delete your app account. Contact us to request access to or correction of organizer-maintained information or to exercise applicable privacy rights. Please do not email passwords, sign-in codes, or private attendee lists.
Policy changes
We will update this page when the app’s data practices change. Where a change requires a new choice or consent, the app will ask before applying it.
